杂宝云纹缘素纱道服

道服，交领右衽，宽袖且袖口开口，领缘、袖缘和衣襟处都缀有深色缘边，领缘有时缀护领。衣身上下通裁，开衩处缀有内摆，如道袍式。穿着道服时腰间常搭配“大带”。这件道服通身使用素纱，在缘边处使用杂宝云纹点缀；大带使用 “蜂赶菊”纹样子母扣，优雅而富有内涵。

Dian Cui (kingfisher feather) is a traditional craft that developed from the use of kingfisher feathers, renowned for its brilliant colors. It was historically used in the creation of precious jewelry and hair ornaments. However, as wild kingfisher populations have declined in modern times, artisans have been exploring new methods to preserve and continue this cultural heritage. This workshop will use regular plastic feathers to mimic this traditional cultural craft~

Join our workshop to experience how contemporary craftsmanship allows beauty and nature to coexist in harmony.

Dunhuang was an ancient and popular stop along the Silk Road. Therefore, it allowed an exchange between the East and the West, making it important for the spread of Buddhism into China.
This summer, we brought to life the paintings and people of Dunhuang. They were messengers of the East and West of the continent, using their lives to knit the bonds between different cultures.
At the same time, the Vancouver Hanfu Society is also bringing Chinese traditional culture and classics to the streets and communities of Vancouver. #vancouverhanfu #vancouver #chineseculture #vancouverevents #richmond #canadaday #hanfu

Celebrating Beauty and Tradition: Vancouver's First Annual Hanfu Model Contest Shines Bright!

The spotlight is on cultural heritage and timeless beauty as Vancouver’s First Annual Glorious Clothes Hanfu Model Contest kicks off in style!

On January 19, the competition launched its exciting first round of auditions at UBC, drawing over 70 contestants of all ages. Participants wowed the judges and audience alike with a stunning showcase of Hanfu styles, embodying everything from graceful elegance and bold heroism to free-spirited charm and resilient strength.

The junior competition brought extra delight, with around 20 talented young contestants stealing the show. Their breathtaking performances and adorable interpretations of traditional Hanfu left everyone in awe, proving that the beauty of Chinese heritage is alive and thriving—even across the ocean.

We are honored to be invited by @vancouverchinesegarden to act as the "Ti Cha Ping", a group of people selling tea while delivering massages in traditional Chinese community tradition during the Song Dynasty, on the Garden Tea Festival. A thousand years ago, these people carrying tea bottles walked through the neighborhoods in Chinese cities, connecting the whole community with the drinks they sold; a thousand years later, people carrying tea bottles walked into the community of Vancouver, building a bridge of cultural sharing. We not only brought sweet tea to the visitors, but also added a lot of vitality to the event, just like our counterparts did in their neighbourhood a thousand years ago, so that the visitors could feel the immersive history of the spread of tea and how it was loved by the people over the years.
